A civil argument against your "reasons" for hating Tifa.
Starting from the top picture:
This scene:
She obviously lets Cloud grieve. Throughout all of FF7 the game, and years after into Advent Children. When he starts shutting down, and can only think of grieving, she tries to give him encouragment, not an ultimatum. A memory or us. He's been living in the past for the past few years of his life, she is trying her best to help him from living in despair for the rest of his life.
This promise:
I'll try to keep my personal opinion of the cutness of the scene out. She isn't concentrating on the fact that he will get famous in the dialogue despite how you made it sound. They were young kids, and she was trying to not sound obvious about wanting him to save her one day when they were older. She was just innocently talking, trying not to make it sound too obvious she has feelings for him.
The impossible standards:
This is completely misstaken out of context from the scene from the movie. Anyone who watched the movie knows she was saying "you're too late" when he wants to know where marlene has gone.
The jealousy:
Yes, she does get jealous every now and then. Who wouldn't when you're in love with a guy and you see another girl always flirting with him? It's only human. And what was stated was completely wrong. "
Tifa did not pay any attention to Cloud until a promising love rival" Ummm no. She actually was in love with him far longer. Even when you're playing in the beginning of the game before you fall through the church ceiling to meet Aeris, you can plainly see how much she cared about Cloud through the actions she has and what she says. She even almost admits her feelings to cloud as he hangs down in the reactor before falling on the church. Before she admits theres so much she wants to tell him, Cloud replies, "I know Tifa."
The truth:
Again, waaaaay off target with this argument. If you play through the game, you find out that JENOVA cells messed with her brain and added memories tricking her too. Only some of it didn't add up to her throughout the story and she was confused by it, but end up telling Cloud later of her confusion and doubts of what was going on. The JENOVA cells had the ability to manipulate their minds, she was innocent.
So yeah. I kept this very civil, and hopefully someone can let me know what they think. I feel like I pretty much debunked every "reason" this group stated of reason why they dislike Tifa.
